| - Order and install in pairs.
- The system must have a minimum of one 512MB FBDIMMs installed. Memory must be installed in pairs if more than one module is installed. When installing additional memory, memory must be installed in the proper population order.
- Memory order is:
- DIMM A1 is the only slot that can have a single module installed.
- Memory must be installed in identical pairs in the following sequence:
- DIMM A1 and DIMM B1
- DIMM A2 and DIMM B2
- DIMM C1 and DIMM D1
- DIMM C2 and DIMM D2
- See system manual for detail memory installation. Summarised as:
- 1. Observe the ESD precautions and pre-installation instructions as per system manual.
- 2. Remove the CPU air duct.
- 3. Locate the DIMM slots on the mainboard.
- 4. Open the clips on the DIMM slot(s).
- 5. Align then insert the DIMM into the socket.
- 6. Press the holding clips inward to lock the DIMM in place .
